What it is
A field guide to local events. Newt's Village pulls listings from venues, organizers, and trusted aggregators across a region, normalizes them into one feed, and lets you search by where, when, and what.
Why it exists
Local event discovery is fragmented. Every venue runs its own calendar, every organizer pushes to a different platform, and the in-between is a firehose of social posts. Newt's Village is an attempt to gather those signals into one consistent place — without the cruft of an algorithmic feed.
How it works
We ingest from venue and organizer sources on a daily cadence. A trust layer scores each source so we know what to surface and what to verify. Curators handle the edge cases: traditions, productions, recurring series, multi-venue events, and anything the data layer can't classify on its own.
Who it's for
People who live somewhere and want to know what's happening this weekend. Visitors trying to figure out a new town. Locals who follow specific venues, performers, or traditions. Curators who want a single place to share their picks.
