Newt’s Village

Frequently asked questions

Who runs Newt's Village?

A small team. We're building it because we wanted it to exist — nothing else aggregates local events into a feed that respects venues and organizers without an algorithmic filter.

Where do listings come from?

We pull from venue calendars, organizer feeds, and trusted local aggregators. Each event keeps a link back to its original source so you can verify details and buy tickets directly from the venue.

Is it free?

Yes, for browsing. Submitting events is free for venues and organizers. We may add paid features for power users (saved searches, custom feeds) later, but the core listing experience stays free.

How do I submit an event?

Use the submit form. You'll need basic details: title, date, venue, a short description. Submissions are reviewed before they go live.

An event listing is wrong. How do I fix it?

Click through to the source link on the event detail page — that's usually the canonical source. If the issue is on our side, email hello@newtsvillage.com with the event URL and what's wrong; we'll get to it.

Why don't I see my favorite venue?

We add venues based on coverage and community interest. If a venue you'd like to see isn't listed, drop us a line and we'll prioritize it.

Is there an app?

Not yet. The site works on phones and tablets — add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. Native apps may follow if there's demand.

Can I follow specific venues or performers?

Soon. Save events now; following venues and performers is coming next.
